Instead of a room in the owners house - your own cottage with a proper private sitting room
Breakfast ‘par excellence’ in the most magnificent modern farmhouse kitchen.
You are asked to choose the night before and there are daily ‘specials’ prepared individually for you by the owner.
At breakfast you will enjoy views across the fields to the sea, about 500 yards away. At high tide you can watch the sailing and fishing boats going in and out of Watermouth Harbour. You can also see the sheep ambling by just outside the window. A real ‘country experience’!
We only offer Bed & Breakfast when we have the time to do it properly, so this is in the Autumn and Spring Terms, excluding half-terms & Christmas holidays. We will accept bookings for Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday. There is a 3 night minimum and 4 night maximum stay for B & B. Then we give you the luxury of a warm and cosy cottage of your own to relax in, so you have peace and privacy. You agree a time for breakfast with us when you check in (usually between 8am and 9.30am) and you come over to our house then.
A welcome drink is always provided on arrival.
We ask you NOT to use the cooker in the kitchen, as you are booking a Bed & Breakfast stay. You may of course use the kettle and fridge as we provide you with tea and coffee to help yourself to when you fancy it. If you wish to cook, please change the basis of your booking to a Self-Catering holiday (minimum of 3 night stay). If you wish to have Self-Catering plus breakfast, each breakfast will cost £10 - if there is availability.
We use the cottages listed below for Bed & Breakfast visitors, depending on the number of people booking and whether you request a double bedded room or a twin or family room. You can view interior photos of these cottages on the ‘Cottages’ page of this website. Just use the ‘drop down menu’ under the heading and click on ‘Cottages sleeping 2’ for Robin or Wren, and ‘Cottages sleeping 4’ for Swallow & Martin and ‘Cottages sleeping 4/5’ for Kingfisher and Heron.
